Nicole Giusto, Professional Counselor Associate

Nicole Giusto is a Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon.

My passion as a counselor revolves around the creation of a safe and nurturing space where teens and adolescents can be seen, heard, understood, and truly be themselves. I employ a person-centered approach, striving not only to address your immediate challenges but also to offer a sanctuary for self-exploration, emotional understanding, and personal growth. I firmly believe in the innate resilience that resides within each individual, and everyone deserves a safe space to be able to talk about their struggles, successes and all that life entails. My role is to help nurture and develop that strength, allowing clients to overcome obstacles and emerge as more confident, empowered individuals.

I am a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Lewis and Clark. My professional journey has been marked by a profound commitment to providing compassionate support to individuals, particularly teens, and adolescents, as they navigate the complex challenges of life. As a former, public school teacher and school counselor, I have 8+ years of experience working in the school system and working with kids and adolescents from age 5 to age 18. My approach to counseling with my clients is often using a client-centered lens with the use of mindfulness, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Especially with children and some teens, I enjoy pulling in aspects of art therapy, play therapy, and sand tray-based therapy.

Navigating childhood and adolescence can be a stressful time! Much of my career focus has been on working with children and adolescents who are impacted by anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, school management, low self-esteem, self-confidence, grief and loss.
