Telehealth

We offer clients the option to schedule Telehealth (video) appointments in place of in-office appointments. This means we can now meet from your couch, your office, your hotel room – basically, from wherever you have access to the Internet.

Why are we offering this new service?

  • Telehealth minimizes the inconvenience of travel time and associated costs as well as allowing for safe interactions during the Coronavirus pandemic. We wanted to ease the stress that clients often experience just traveling to our office for treatment as well as the option of remaining safe while remaining at home. Things like snow, rain, traffic, getting childcare, finding parking, etc. make traveling even short distances annoying. COVID-19 is here for the foreseeable future making Telehealth an excellent alternative to in-office sessions to maintain social distancing.
  • The benefits of Telehealth are supported by research. Research has found that video therapy is as effective as in-person therapy.
  • Most major insurance companies cover Telehealth appointments. If you’re interested in pursuing this option, let us know and we can investigate whether you’re eligible for coverage, and during the state of emergency the majority of insurances are covering telehealth the same as in-office sessions.
  • Telehealth requires no special software or technical skills. All you need is a computer (with an integrated camera). It’s as simple as that.

Please let us know if we can provide additional information and answer any questions you may have.
