Accessibility at Trellis Counseling
Trellis Counseling strives to ensure that all clients can fully access services, whether in person or through telehealth. We follow the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Oregon administrative rules related to accessible and equitable care.
Historic Building Notice for Hope House (Milwaukie)
Our Milwaukie location, known as Hope House, is a historic property listed on the City of Milwaukie’s historic register. Under the ADA’s 2010 Standards for Accessible Design, historic buildings are required to meet accessibility standards to the maximum extent feasible. When structural changes necessary for full physical accessibility would threaten or destroy the historic significance of the building, the ADA allows for alternative methods of providing access to services.
Because of the historic nature of Hope House, some physical accessibility features may be limited. We are committed to working with clients to provide reasonable and appropriate alternatives so services remain accessible.
Our Commitment
We will provide reasonable accommodations to support your access to services. These may include:
Telehealth services when appropriate and clinically suitable
Meeting at an alternative Trellis Counseling location that is more physically accessible
Adjustments to communication style or session structure
Alternative formats for written materials
Additional time or other modifications to support your needs
