Accepted Insurance

We are currently credentialed with the following insurance providers:

Please note that not all clinicians are credentialed with every insurance listed above. We encourage you to contact our office to confirm whether your specific therapist is in-network with your plan.

Private Pay / Self-Pay Options

A typical therapy session costs $225+. While many clients are initially very concerned about whether or not they can afford therapy, most find that as their life and priorities change, new ways of funding therapy appear — whether through less need to consume to distract from pain or through new means of income due to increased energy and investment in life.

If there are financial difficulties interfering with your ability to pay, we are willing to set up a payment plan and, for those that need financial assistance, we may be able to offer a sliding scale. Please contact the office manager for more information before scheduling the intake session.

Out-of-Network Benefits

For insurance panels with which we are not credentialed, we are considered “Out of Network.” For these plans, full payment is due at the time of service. We can then provide our clients with a superbill — a detailed form that assists you in seeking reimbursement from your insurance company. The superbill includes the information most insurers require, such as CPT (procedure) codes and diagnoses.

Please be aware that most insurance plans do not cover 100% of all charges. It is the responsibility of the client to pay the full cost of services at the time they are rendered and to engage with their insurance company regarding any reimbursement.

Payment Process

Payment is due at the time of service for all sessions. We accept standard payment methods and can provide documentation to support insurance reimbursement requests. If you have questions about payment arrangements or need to discuss financial assistance options, please contact our office manager prior to scheduling your intake session.

Verifying Benefits Before Your First Appointment

We strongly encourage all new clients to verify their insurance benefits before their first appointment. Here are some steps to help you prepare:

  • Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask whether mental health services are covered under your plan.
  • Ask whether Trellis Counseling or your specific therapist is in-network with your plan.
  • Inquire about your deductible, co-pay, and any session limits.
  • If you are out-of-network, ask about your out-of-network reimbursement rate and how to submit a superbill.
