Your Story
Starting therapy can feel intimidating. As a society, we’re often conditioned to believe that therapy is only for people who have “something wrong” with them. That belief can lead to shame, low self-worth, and frustration when it feels hard to move forward.
As a therapist, I want you to know there is nothing wrong with you. My hope is that together, we can shift the question from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What happened to me?”—and approach your experiences with compassion and curiosity.
Credentials
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I approach therapy from a strengths-based perspective. Together, we will build on your resilience while identifying the supports already present in your life.
We’ll work to understand your triggers, process difficult emotions, and gain insight into patterns that may no longer serve you. I strive to create a space where you feel safe to be fully seen, heard, and understood. I show up authentically, with the hope that you feel empowered to do the same.
Therapy Approach
I use an eclectic and individualized approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to your unique needs. My background includes extensive training in trauma-focused modalities, including:
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Flash Technique
- Prolonged Exposure (PE)
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Trauma-Focused Integrated Play Therapy (TF-IPT)
I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), sand tray therapy, and somatic modalities to support deeper healing and self-expression.
Background & Experience
I earned my Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2020. I have nine years of experience providing trauma-focused care to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
