Hello and welcome! Are you looking for someone who can help with what you are going through? I help address emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges faced by individual adults. I include my clients in every aspect of their care from assessment to treatment planning to development of coping skills, enhancing skills and finding effective ways to meet challenges. I am a listener and a collaborator with the intention of improving well being and self understanding, increasing empowerment, and enhancing emotional awareness and regulation.
We are all uniquely developed. I do not offer "one size fits all" therapy. I use my knowledge, experience and clinical wisdom to help each individual I work with. I earned my Master's in Social Work in 2010. I have worked in a variety of settings such as community services (family caregiving, aging and resource access), cancer support, medical settings such as hospice, palliative care, and dialysis, and mental health settings including addiction therapy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Certified Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and a Trauma Specialist.
Your Focus is My Focus
I accomplish what I do by making the person in front of me my focus. I am able to identify possibilities of what may resonate with them - perhaps expressive arts, education or facilitation of development of self awareness and understanding. Health care is not a finite body of knowledge. It is important for me to continue learning and growing as a therapist, both in knowledge and personally. I work with adults, Older Adults, Addiction: trauma, depression, anxiety, abuse, adjustment to aging and life changes, chronic disease, caregiving, approaching change. My efforts contribute to the emotional and mental well being of those I work with. Ultimately I support people in how they show up in their own lives.
