Moving Forward
I’m humbled and inspired by the stories I hear every day. My aim is that therapy is a place where you can unpack your own story—wherever you want to begin—and decide how you want to move forward in life.
I use a variety of approaches including acceptance and commitment therapy, schema therapy, and somatic therapy. The combination of these approaches are geared towards building a better understanding of how your emotions, body, and perspective on life have been shaped by past experiences. I believe that this understanding about ourselves provides the ability to make changes that align with who we want to be. I am also trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), an evidence based practice for treating PTSD.
I completed my Masters degree in Counseling at Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina. I’m licensed as a professional counselor (LPC) in Oregon and as a professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota. I work with individuals with a history of trauma and issues that stem from traumatic histories, such as depression, anxiety, substance use, and attachment wounds. I also have experience working with individuals adjusting to life following incarceration.
